Abstract

In the new millennium, the concern of the Government of Malaysia in developing the nation through the knowledge economy has become very apparent. In 2002, the Government of Malaysia has launched the Knowledge Management Strategic Master Plan aiming to transform Malaysia from a Production-based economy to a knowledge-based economy. This study is an empirical investigation on the sharing/transfer of knowledge in a public organisation. To achieve an in-depth study, the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development of Malaysia was chosen for a case study.

Malaysian Workforce: Entering golden years and still keen on working

An Accenture pulse survey conducted in April and May found that 73 per cent of Malaysians plan to retire after the age of 55, compared with the global retirement age of about 62. It also showed that 33 per cent of the Malaysian workers interviewed had changed their plans for retirement within the past five years.

Knowledge Management Pertinent For Malaysia, says Najib Tun Razak, DPM

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 12 (Bernama) -- The discipline of knowledge management is very pertinent for Malaysia, especially in its move to transform its economy into a knowledge-based economy as envisaged in Vision 2020, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said Tuesday.

The deputy prime minister said knowledge management should be seen as an effective tool to enhance the delivery service for the citizens of the country.
